Harmony - Balance
Inner BalancePrice:
EUR 3,500 Year Produced: 2009 Dimensions (L x W): 50 cms x 40 cms Paint Used: Acrylic on cardboard Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: Inner Balance explains that as we grow older or as we mature through the journey of life, we loose touch, contact and this connection with our inner child, that little creative being who never grew up and always enjoyed playing and toying around. This little inner child nudges us from time to time and unexpectedly triggers deep emotional feelings within our spiritual beings that are just magical. This cannot be explained from a rational point of view or perspective. The inner child in all of us never dies really, and from time-to-time wants to be heard. Listening to it allows deep encrusted forgotten feelings to surge in light, like a butterfly rising above our mind and soul, carrying new ideas into our worlds, restoring inner balance. |
Fountains of LifePrice:
EUR 11,000 Year Produced: 2015 Dimensions (L x W): 80 cms x 80 cms Paint Used: Acrylic Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: Dagmar Popp's perspective vision expressed in Fountains of Life is as such that various natural (that can also be represented as various energies) elements are somewhat all but one. The watery fountains are being warmed and heated by the magma fountains erupting from inner earth and subsequently transformed into vapour, which in turn silently disperses itself around, creating another stream of life nourishing various living things. This thought and actual process is that joyous moment of creation (life) happening. This metaphor can also be interpreted onto various energy fields making up the spiritual bodies of living organisms inhabiting planet earth. This thought process leaves a lot of room for joy in the mind of the thinker. |
Wu LouPrice:
EUR 5,900 Year Produced: 2018 Dimensions (L x W): 78 cms x 44 cms Paint Used: Acrylic Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: The Wu Lou, also known or referred to as the Calabash (or "Gourde"/Giver of Life), if understood correctly, is regarded as a powerful wish or manifestation enhancer. It is also believed that the Wu Lou absorbs negative energies (bad Chi) within its surroundings, acting like a vacuum machine. Originally, the Wu Lou "Gourde" was used to store medicine in liquid forms and when alcohol became a means of riches, the Wu Lou "Gourde" became a symbol and representation of wealth. Therefore, some believe and are of the conviction that the Wu Lou "Gourde" shall bring many riches to its owner, if rightly manifested from a spiritual standpoint and if rightly placed by its beholder or owner. |
AGASPrice:
EUR 8,900 Year Produced: 2017 Dimensions (L x W): 88 cms x 58 cms Paint Used: Acrylic Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: AGAS is dedicated to the son of Dagmar Popp, Jonathan Vencatachellum, who is an alcoholic and problem gambler in recovery. The Symbol portrayed in AGAS helps elevate the consciousness of the observer, drifting him or her in a much lighter and comfortable state of mind and being. This also allows for increased positive contemplation given various challenging situations. Meditating in front of it or simply gazing at AGAS chases away various negative mental clouds. As can be observed in the painting, the skies above the symbol get brighter while the watery colours represent the flow of new ideas waiting to be grounded on new fertile soils. AGAS was produced as a helping mental and spiritual tool by a mother for her suffering son. AGAS stands for Alcohol and Gambling Abstinence Support. |
Yellow RiverPrice:
EUR 8,500 Year Produced: 2014 Dimensions (L x W): 78 cms x 56 cms Paint Used: Acrylic Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: Yellow River is based on the Chinese Yangtze River's beauty and peace. One of Dagmar Popp's close friend of Chinese descent and heritage told her of numerous tales and stories about the Yangtze River, more specifically, about its amazing beauty. One day after having received a post card written with joyous wishes from this said friend (which in this digital age we live in is something that would be considered pre-historic or almost unheard of), Dagmar Popp got inspired to produce Yellow River. Through this process, she lost herself in the painting itself flashing out yellowish vivid colours of happiness and joy paired with greenish eye catching colours, creating an illusion of stagnation contradicted by continuous flows. |
Enchanted ForrestPrice:
EUR 6,500 Year Produced: 2017 Dimensions (L x W): 120 cms x 40 cms Paint Used: Acrylic Type of Canvas: Cotton Brief Description: Enchanted Forrest is deeply attached to the magic of nature and the power of trees. We often forget that life on planet earth would not be possible without trees. Dagmar Popp depicts her vision of being enchanted by a forest, but from a higher spiritual perspective, the great beings that help heal and the little beings supporting the whole system. It has recently being scientifically proven that being in proximity of huge trees, the human body is able to find chemical balance and restore itself in ways that are yet to be fully understood. The magical sound of birds singing, the gentle whistling sound of the wind paired with the soft flow of water streams help relief daily stress. There is magic all around, we must just allow for this magic to happen. |
